Today I blog without contacts or glasses...how amazing is that?! I know I probably make too much of a deal out of this, but I have had glasses since I was 7, contacts since I was 12, and told since I was 16ish that I'd never be able to have corrective surgery until I was in my 40's at the earliest, but probably more like 50 or 60. And today, I'm 27 and cataract free thanks to a wonderful doc who showed me some mercy (and worked the system a little bit too).
Yesterday's surgery was A LOT better then two weeks ago. It seemed like the prep and waiting was a lot longer, but me and my Mom just laughed at the loopy guy next to us to pass the time. They had some trouble starting an IV, three sticks later they finally got that in, and then it bled out a little, but they fixed it. I got a shot of some "good stuff" before going back, which really relaxed me (per dr. orders since I was so uncomfortable last time). Once back there I got some more "good stuff" and the surgery was much easier! I was even prepared for the tacky pic they take, so it was better too! Once home I slept the rest of the afternoon. I did not sleep well last night, and actually woke up in a good amount of pain/discomfort. I got up and watched tv with my sunglasses on (how freaking funny would that look?), took some Tylenol and headed to the doc for my recheck. Got a clean bill of health and will go back in a month for a recheck. The pain comes and goes, but I think it's related to trying to focus. I can see perfect far away, it's the up close reading stuff that gives me trouble. He says I'll learn to adjust and it'll take some time. But other then the minor discomfort I'm good...I'm trying to do some reading and surfing on the net to begin training my eyes to work together...it's hard, but I already feel like things are getting better. Thanks for checking in on me...it's just absolutely amazing to me!
On a completely side note...does anyone think cats can be "midgets"? Rocky is really tall, Tripp is medium height, but Charlie looks like he has really short legs to me. I'm going to try to measure them tomorrow. I'll let you know how that goes-haha!
Alright...I'm off to watch a chick flick in bed. Thanks for checking in on me (and us I guess, Joseph is doing great...almost finished with the back patio-rain delay). Until next time, as always, please Remember Jackson!

Nicole,
There are such things as munchkin kitties. I want one they are so cute especially scottish folds. But I don't think yours are at least not from the pictures.
